Letting your customers know some basics about your pricing structure will help them become confident in your product before they reach out to your sales team. This document will show you how to update pricing content in the vendor portal and what different options you have for explaining your pricing structure to buyers on your community pages.


How Do I Add or Update Pricing in the Vendor Portal


To add updated pricing information, visit the product listing tab and select "Pricing". This will direct you to a pricing page that looks as follows:


There are a number of different fields that you have the ability to fill out. The goal of these different fields is to provide different avenues to provide pricing information, understanding that there is a variety of pricing structures that different software vendors offer.

  • Pricing URL 

    • This is the ability to add your web address with pricing information for buyers to directly engage with pricing information (or more pricing information on your website). Please only enter a URL in this field. Include UTM parameters on your URL to track traffic to your page coming from TrustRadius. 

  • Starting Price/Terms - 

    • This field allows for the definition of your starting price, while in additional fields you will be able to add in more context through the usage of pricing editions. Filling in your starting price is important as this information will appear on your product card on Category pages, on the left-hand navigation of your Product page, and other areas where additional pricing content is displayed–making this a highly visible type of content.

  • Offerings

    • Free Trial

      • If your product has a free trial available and you would like to make that known to buyers, please first indicate yes by selecting this checked box. This free trial information can be found on both your product & pricing pages under the offerings section. Please note our definition of free trial is that it must be a full featured service, although it may have other limitations like being usage or time based. If you select the checkbox, you will also be able to fill out an additional free fold field called “free trial info”.

    • Free Trial Info

      • Do you want to communicate more information about your free trial? There can be a number of reasons why this may be helpful. For example, you may want to add how long your free trial duration is for, information about usage or other limitations, or if there is any customer information required up front like credit card information.  If you want to communicate additional nuances or context to buyers about your free trial please do so in this section.

      • Please note: This section currently does not appear on Community product or pricing pages visibly today. This section was not included for public display during the MVP launch of our pricing page. TrustRadius is working to continue to enhance our community pages in the future and is prioritizing surfacing this information. If you would like to surface this information please contact hour Customer Service Representative to help us prioritize this enhancement.

    • Freemium/Free Version

      • If you have a free or freemium version of your product, please use this checkbox to communicate that information to buyers. This information if filled out will be communicated to buyers on both of your product and pricing pages. Please note that our definition of a free version is that it may have limited features, but must have no time-based limitations.

      • Please note: This section currently does not appear on Community product or pricing pages visibly today. This section was not included for public display during the MVP launch of our pricing page.     • Free Version Info 

      • This free form field populates information on your pricing page. This allows you to add additional context related to your free version that you may want to use to differentiate your free version from competitors or explain additional nuances relevant to your use case.

    • Premium Consultation/Integration Services

      • If your company has paid consulting and/or integration services during the setup of this product please check this box. Please note that we do not consider third party services applicable to answering yes to this question. This information is included on both your product page as well your pricing page.

    • Entry-level-set-up fee/Paid Setup

      • Does your company require or offer paid setup for your product during the implementation stages? If so, please use this section to provide that information as well as if it is optional or required. This is important for buyers to know and is included as its own section on both your Product page as well as pricing page.

    • Pricing Editions

      • Vendors have the ability to add pricing editions or tiers if their pricing is packaged in that way. It is important to note, that on the product page only three pricing editions are shown. That being said, buyers will be able to see all of your pricing edition information on your full pricing page if they click one of the call to action links to direct them to that section. You can add as many pricing editions as you need and they will show on your full pricing page.

  • Additional pricing information 


    • Are there other considerations for TrustRadius readers thinking about how this product is priced? If the above fields don't adequately explain how your product is priced, or if you'd like to add additional commentary on how it's priced, please enter that information in this field.
