TrustRadius leads can be sent via Webhook to Zapier. Leveraging Zapier, you can automatically post new TrustRadius leads to Slack, send email notifications to your sales team, add them to a Google sheet, and more.

To do this, you'll need to set up a Zap. A Zap is an automated workflow that connects applications. Zaps consist of a trigger event and one or more action steps. When you publish a Zap, it will run the action steps every time the trigger event occurs. In this case, a new TrustRadius lead will be the "trigger." When a new lead is submitted to TrustRadius, Zapier will automatically execute the action steps defined in your Zap.

To set up your Zap follow these steps:

  1. Go to Zapier and log into your account.
  2. In the lefthand menu, click Create Zap.
  3. Under Apps, select "Webhooks by Zapier". Click Continue.
  4. Under Event, select "Catch Hook." Click Continue.
  5. Under "Pick off a Child Key," click Continue.
  6. Zapier will generate a webhook URL. This will be the endpoint URL that you will use to build your webhook in TrustRadius. Click Copy.
  7. In a separate browser tab, go to TrustRadius. Click For Vendors > Access Vendor Portal. Log into your TrustRadius account.
  8. In the side navigation menu, click Buyers > Leads Webhook.
  9. In the "Other Systems" tab, paste your Zapier webhook URL into the "Endpoint URL" field. Optionally, you can provide values for the fields that you wish to map when the lead details are received by your Zap, or you can leave them blank and the default values will be sent.
  10. Once you've completed all required fields, click Save Changes.
  11. To send a test lead, click Send Test Lead.
  12. Return to your Zapier tab. Click Test trigger. You should see a confirmation that the test lead was received.
  13. Click Continue.

Now that you've finished setting up your Trigger, you can set up your Action(s). Defined actions will be performed whenever a new lead is received from TrustRadius. To add an action:

  1. Choose your action app: the Zap will perform an action in this app when it's triggered.
  2. Select your event: this will be the event that the Zap performs in the selected app when it is triggered.
  3. Select your app account: select or connect the specific app account to use in the Zap action.
  4. Set up your action: set up the data that you want to send over to your action app.
  5. Test your action: test your action to see if it's working as expected.
  6. Click Publish. Your Zap is now up and running.

Name your Zap

We recommend giving your Zap a name so you can easily identify it on your Zapier dashboard. To name your Zap:

  1. In the upper left, click Untitled Zap,
  2. Enter a name for your Zap.
