A cookie is set on the user’s browser IF the widget determines the request is coming from a non-GDPR region, for purposes of event tracking.

  • The cookie (ID) is a 32-digit randomly generated ID called “com.trustradius.tracking.id”.

  • If that ID is generated, it allows TrustRadius to track events from the widget. The events tracked include renders, views, clicks, and scrolls. It does NOT allow TrustRadius to know any information whatsoever about who the user is, what else they do on the customer’s website, or follow them across other sites.

  • The widget does not use Google Analytics for tracking.

  • When a request is determined to be from a GDPR region, no ID is ever saved.

*Additionally, if a user that has a cookie set travels to a GDPR region, that cookie is removed.
